What should I have in my sewing kit?

Your sewing kit should have the following: Fabric scissors (doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, Scotch or Fiskars brands are great), sewing pins, tape measure, seam ripper.

Are there refunds if I can't make it?

There are not refunds. In certain cases, we may be able to apply your payment towards another class. Due to limited space, and holding your spot, we are not able to issue refunds.

Day 1

Basic sewing skills, sewing machine safety, cut and sew a stuffed heart.

Day 2

Cut and sew your second project-a fish shaped drawstring bag.

Day 3

Finish the drawstring bag. Cut and begin sewing a zipper bag for art supplies, makeup and more.

Day 4

Complete your zipper bag! Bonus project if time permits- a mini-monster doll!

Hey kids and teens grades 6-12! Learn how to sew this summer! Come to my studio in the Pendleton Art Center Middletown and make cool projects. You'll learn how to use a sewing machine and make three artsy creations.

The sewing machines, cutting tables, fabric, notions and iron are provided. You will need a basic sewing kit, your creativity AND the desire to learn a new skill that will last a lifetime.

We will meet four days for three hours each. Snacks and a break are included.

PLEASE NOTE: Your ticket includes all four days of Sewing Bees! We meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Students must be able to focus and work independently with guidance.
