Want to learn the art of sewing?  Start your journey with this introduction to sewing techniques and terminology.

Embark on a journey of craftsmanship with this introduction to sewing class that is tailored for novices. This class is designed to demystify the art of sewing and give you the basic skills for creating your own projects and crafts. In this class you will make a 12 X 12 pillow to take home. All materials will be provided to create a sample pillow. Class is open to ages 16 and up; however, minors must be accompanied by an adult who has also purchased a ticket for the class. Optional: If you would like to bring your own material for the pillow you can bring two matching quilting squares for the front and the back material.

About the InstructorMaria Tucker A self-taught sewer, Maria specializes in making Renaissance faire outfits, general sewing projects, crafts, and alterations.

Additional Class Information Class may be canceled due to low enrollment in which case a full refund will be issued. MakerSpace Charlotte is located in the brick side door, up the ramp.
