Set Sail for Spectacle Island
Get ready to learn how to set sail on Boston Harbor.
Enjoy a four-hour-long introduction to keelboat sailing. A Piers Park Sailing Center instructor will lead you on an outing around the Boston Harbor to Spectacle Island as well as provide the basics of navigating the boat and trimming your sails. Take the helm and get a feel for the boat or just sit back and relax – it’s up to you!
No previous experience is necessary! Beginners are welcome. This event is great for families, couples, friends, or someone just looking to give sailing a try.
Program includes:
- An opportunity to learn as an individual or a group, at the same time
- One hour to explore Spectacle Island
- Boats hold up to 6 adults plus 2 kids (8 years +)
- Students will learn on the Piers Park Sailing Center fleet of 23-foot Sonar class sailboats
