All components of safe food handling from receiving to sanitizing after food service will be reviewed using ServSafe materials, videos, and practice tests.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the book?

The Food Manager book can be ordered and shipped to you prior to class, but is not a requirement for this course. It is recommended for those new to the restaurant field or those who have never taken the exam before to read the book prior to the class.

Will there be a break for lunch?

The class will break for lunch for 30 minutes-1 hour as agreed upon on the day of the session. The Review time will depend on the length of the initial course presentation and includes a practice test. The exam will start no later than 3pm.

Is the Review Course required to take the exam?

No. If you have taken the course before or are taking the exam to recertify and feel confident in your abilities, you can arrive for the exam only. Please plan to be in the classroom and ready to test by 3pm.

What happens if I fail the exam?

If you have registered for the full class, review and exam and do not meet the minimum grade to pass, you are able to schedule an exam at the next scheduled class with no additional fee.
