Serve at Capital Area Food Bank

Join us in serving at the Capital Area Food Bank on Saturday, June 29 from 9am to 12pm. We will be serving at the garden and/or warehouse. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and make a tangible impact in our local community by helping 1 in 3 people in the DMV facing hunger.

Space is limited. Please let us know by Thursday, June 13 if you plan to join us. We hope to see you there!

Who can serve?

You can bring the whole family. The more, the merrier! Kids of all ages are welcome in the garden, and those 12 and over can volunteer in the warehouse.

Is there parking at the CAFB?

Yes, onsite parking is available to Volunteers.

What should I expect?

The last time we volunteered at the food bank, we served in the warehouse, where volunteers sort and package produce, various proteins, and donated goods while jamming along to fun music. Check out our recap here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4dM_YsuUCY/

For this shift, you’ll either be in the warehouse or in their garden watering, weeding, and harvesting fruits and veggies.
