About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

QPR is to suicide what CPR is to cardiac arrest. QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer: the three steps anyone can learn to help prevent a suicide. Riverton City sponsors a free monthly QPR Suicide Prevention Training open to all, with a focus on youth suicide prevention. If enough people in the community are trained to recognize the signs of suicide and intervene appropriately, we can reduce the number of suicide deaths in our youth.

Classes are be held from 7-8:30 p.m. in the 1st floor conference room at Riverton City Hall at 12830 S Redwood Road, Riverton, Utah 84065. The training is free and open to all, though we ask that you register for the training you wish to attend. Due to the sensitive nature of course content, we ask that you arrive on time and leave small children at home.
