Due to safety and liability reasons, please do not bring your children with you to class. In-person traingins may be cancelled if there are fewer than five participants enrolled. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified via email and/or telephone. Instructor: Janna MasonNevada Registry Approved: 1.5 HoursCKA: Environment &amp; CurriculumThis training will discuss how children learn and why sensory activities are crucial to children's development. We will explore the five senses, sensory avoidance and sensory seeking behaviors while relating the information to how we plan learning centers. Training Objectives:1 . By the end of this session, the learner will understand how children learn and why sensory activities are critical to development.2 . By the end of this session, the learner will Identify the 5 Senses and how to incorporate them into learning centers.3 . By the end of this session, the learner will Understand the basics of Sensory Processing Disorder.Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
