Powell's Books, based in Portland, Oregon, is the world's largest independent bookstore. With a history spanning over 50 years, Powell's is a beloved literary destination known for its vast collection of new, used, and rare books. The flagship store, Powell’s City of Books, occupies an entire city block in downtown Portland and houses over a million books. In addition to this iconic location, Powell’s has two more Portland-area stores—on Hawthorne Boulevard and at Cedar Hills Crossing—as well as a newly reopened store at Portland International Airport.
