The band's 2021 NPR Tiny Desk contest submission was featured as a "top shelf" selection among the thousands of entries; that video is embedded below.There is a lot to be said about Semler's themes of queer identity and Christian faith; indeed, it is these themes that rocketed the artist's songs to number one hits on the Christian charts without any traditional radio airplay. “I’m here for it,” Baldridge said in a video posted online about the phenomenon; “I want to grab the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Christian music chart and claim it for anyone who has been cast out in the name of God.”But so while charts are charts, they really only respond to good music... and this is GOOD MUSIC!! Semler's debut EP Preacher's Kid was released in February 2021, second EP Late Bloomer in October 2021, and most recent Stage of a Breakdown this April. It's really just the beginning for Semler.Enny Owl, supporting Semler as the opening act, is also just an amazing performer! They are playing the Troubadour on the 13th and Sudwerk on the 16th, so, you know, let's show this artist how we compare to West Hollywood.PROOF OF VACCINATION AGAINST COVID-19 REQUIRED FOR ENTRY.
