Community Emergency Response Team, CERT– G317, is a course that serves as an introduction to CERT for those wanting to serve as a CERT member, or as an excellent preparedness training program for an individual.    Firefighters, EMT’s and Paramedics are the best trained and equipped to handle emergencies. However following a catastrophic disaster, you and the community may be on your own for a period of time . CERT Basic Training is designed to prepare you to help yourself and to help others in the event of a catastrophic disaster.  You can make a difference by using your CERT training to assist . This training covers the basic skills that are important to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. The training will prepare you to work as a team with other CERT members, and  enable you to assist and protect yourself, family, and neighbors by doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people. With additional training, City of Seminole CERT members will also perform various non- hazard jobs that assist  responders such as, special needs evacuation of residents, communications assistance at an EOC, special event assistance, and by providing assistance with Firefighter rehab during incidents. Be Ready, Be involved. 
Attendance of all  sessions is required for graduation
Each graduate that becomes a member of Seminole CERT will receive a CERT Basic  Equipment Kit.
