Self Defense Workshop

TWST4Girlsis a Houston based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves girls ages 11-17, who reside in underserved communities, juvenile correctional facilities, schools, and community centers. We deliver life skills development programs, match our girls with dedicated mentors, provide monthly exposure to career options, as well as, intellectual and cultural experiences all at no cost to the youth that we serve! Youth graduate TWST’s Programs as well-rounded young women who are purposeful, self-sufficient and equipped with the tools needed to excel in life.

Sifu Pat Brown of the Kajukembo Self Defense Systems will teach youth how to defend themselves against attack in this hands-on workshop!

Buffalo Bayou Park Trail

The United States of America is dishearteningly #3 in most prevalent cases of human trafficking and Texas is #2 in states where such cases are reported. The average age of the victim in such heinous crimes is 12 years old. Sadly, that is someone’s daughter, sister, nephew, student, friend- an innocent child. But we are replacing the fear of such crimes with preparedness. 

Sifu Pat Brown of the Kajukembo Self Defense Systems will join forces with TWST4Girls in this hands on workshop designed to give youth an understanding of current statistics, the human body and how we can use that knowledge to incapacitate a potential attacker in order to protect ourselves from victimization.
