Join us for a Personal Safety Workshop for women ages 16+. Pre-registration is required and space is limited, so sign up today!

During this active participatory workshop, you will learn personal safety skills and practice realistic self-defense tactics. You will also learn situational awareness and how to handle a confrontation both physically and mentally. Prepare to have fun and feel empowered!

Check-in is at 5:45 p.m. • Program begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Participation is 100% free with a completely optional donation. Suggested donation $40.

About the hosts:

The Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation (VTMF) is a 501c3 public charity committed to a world where women live boldly and fearlessly. They have been hosting personal safety workshops since their founding in 2017. VTMF is thrilled to co-host this workshop with Kelly Anne Parker and her business b2bkp. Kelly is passionate about philanthropy in the women's health and safety space and has been an active member of the New York City tech, business & running communities. She is delighted to co-host a Self Defense Workshop here in NYC with the Vanessa T. Marcotte Foundation after personally attending a VTM Foundation event a few years prior.

Can I just show up?

No. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins are not allowed.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?

You must be 16+ to attend.

How should I dress for the event?

Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers.

Is my ticket transferrable?

Yes. If you register and are unable to attend, please let us know and we'll notify someone on our wait list that a spot opened up!
