<h2>The purpose of this workshop is to increase people&#x27;s awareness of the benefits of developing a practice of self-compassion. </h2>Participants will leave with specific steps to build their own self-compassion practice with tools related to creativity and mindfulness. With the New Year approaching instead of looking to resolutions, explore a greater sense of understanding. Do you pile things on and then regret not getting them done? At some point that story gets old and it&#x27;s time to develop some self-compassion. Compassion is easiest to offer to others. Applying and giving it to ourselves takes practice. Join me to explore Self-Compassion through art making and mindfulness. 1.The need for Self-Compassion 2. Self-Compassion and Connection 3. Breaking down the pattern 4. Building your own practice of Self-compassion Christina is hosting this workshop series and has studied Fine Arts in Washington D.C. and moved home to New England after the tragic passing of two high school friends. She worked through that grief by finding and using my creative spirit. In doing so, she discovered the Expressive Arts Psychotherapy program at Lesley University, where I earned my Masters. Through 10 years of clinical practice, Christina worked with both adults and children in groups as well as individually. She chose to leave clinical treatment and went back to her roots and became an Art Teacher in the Public School sector. This is where she honed her ability to identify and deliver arts based tasks that promote a shift in perspective. Christina has over 20 years experience facilitating healing through the creative process. She will help you create a connection to your own creativity and an overall sense of wellness through self expression.must register ahead of time to attend!
