Description

Self-care is important to avoid burnout. It’s important to re-center self-care and implement care within the workplace to support the overall balance.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • Reground in a multitude in self-care practice.
  • Discuss the impact of not having work/life balance.
  • Build out a self-care plan that encompasses home life and care in the work place.

Who Should Participate?

This training is applicable to everyone. The training is designed for family support providers who find it difficult to have a healthy work-life balance.

Presenter

Oakland born, Richmond raised, CieraJevae serves her community as an artist-educator, healer, writer, editor, activist, community advocate and scholar. She’s taught spoken word and healing based workshops across the Bay Area ranging from 6 year olds to adults. In addition to this, she has facilitated workshops in the Santa Cruz County Jail and the Contra Costa Juvenile Hall. She has served as the Artist in Residence for Richmond Land, as well as a core organizer for the Root Slam, a writing community centered around restorative justice practices and community healing. Currently, she serves as the Administrative Assistant for the NAACP, Youth & College Division.
