Join us at The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW), an NYC award-winning non-profit theater, education institution, and community center, founded by Thurman E. Scott, that has been a vital resource for many in the community, including at-risk and homeless youth, for over 33 years. We are seeking experienced videographers and photographers for our volunteer team to shoot and edit footage of the groundbreaking work occurring at ATW. We have a rewarding community program with volunteer opportunities for videographers, photographers, and video editors.
For the Spring Builders of the New World Program (BNW), a unique after-school theater arts education program that has changed the lives of children living in NYC transitional housing facilities, we are looking for volunteer videographers and photographers to shoot still photography and video at each of the Tuesday and Thursday classes, two Saturday rehearsals, and the final performance. Can you help ATW capture this fun and heartwarming theatre arts education program for 7 - 14 year-old children from May to June 2024?
When:
- Tuesdays, May 21 - June 18 from 3:00-8:30pm
- Saturdays, June 1 and 8 from 11:30am-5:30pm
- Thursday, June 13 from 3:00-8:30pm
- Thursday, June 20 from 3:00-10:00pm
We also have openings for experienced videographers and photographers to shoot and edit footage and photos of our other community programs, acting workshops, Open Mic Night, and our New Play Reading Series. Desired skills are shooting, lighting, audio, pre/post production, logging, and editing with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and/or InDesign.
