Grosvenor Centre

Seedling is an exciting new audio installation by Northampton artist Helen Crevel focused on potential motherhood, environmental responsibility and consumerism. As you wander around Grosvenor Centre, Northampton, we invite you to take the time to stop and reflect; to consider the changes you would like to see in the world, and to ask yourself &#x27;How do we live with hope?&#x27; This is an online offer for anyone unable to attend in-person in Northampton.The audio installation seeks to provoke conversation around motherhood and the environment, connecting them to our geographical and cultural heritage, and family legacies. The installation will be housed in a specially designed space in the Grosvenor Centre in Northampton – its dome-like shape will be covered in textiles and fabrics, while the inside will be more like a domestic space, like stepping into someone’s home. Come and visit us in a unit on the lower mall within the Grosvenor Centre, enter our dome-like home and listen to our 15 minute story. You can listen on your own or bring a friend, partner or your mum to listen with you. Afterwards, once you leave the dome, we&#x27;d love you to stay with us in the unit to relax, reflect and have a chat.<h3>Access</h3>The final piece will be made accessible, with a BSL video version, audio description, social story and access pack materials.
