Seed Saving Class

The class is limited to 35 attendees. If you plan to attend, please register. The class is hosted by Transition Berkeley with a grant from the Berkeley Rotary Club and taught by Rebecca Newburn, Co-founder of the Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library and Founder of the Seed Library Network. Rebecca has been instrumental in creating a resilient and replicable model for seed libraries across the globe. Through her initiatives, she's championed the importance of preserving plant biodiversity, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and fostering community collaboration.

Transition Berkeley will provide information on saving seeds from native plants, which support pollinator habitat throughout Berkeley. The native seeds will be placed in our little seed libraries and you can take some seeds home to plant.
