K﻿ALOHCC is a member of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, Na Lei Makalapua Continent Council, and the Oregon Pacific Islander Coalition. In 1918 our founder, Prince Jonah Kuhio, opened the Honolulu Hawaiian Civic Club to help elevate the voices of the Native Hawaiian community during the illegal overthrow of Hawaiʻi. Today, our purpose remains the same; elevate AND amplify the voice of our Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Here in Oregon and SW Washington, we hope to bring the stories of our Hawaiʻi that will help educate the greater community of who we are as a people.

Get ready for Springtime!  Learn how to  make your own seed paper  to plant in your garden using recycled paper and a variety of seeds.

AloHā Resource & Community Center - KALO

<p>Join KALO member Janae as she teaches you how to turn regular pieces of paper into something special. You'll have lots of fun making your own paper mulch and adding some Mānoa lettuce and wildflower seeds to get you ready for Spring. This event is open to the community. All ages are welcome to attend.</p><p>(6yrs and under will need parent supervision.) A light dinner and dessert will also be provided. Cost is $10 per person.</p>
