About this event

The workshop goal is information sharing amongst professionals that are involved in erosion, sand, and sediment research and management in the Gulf of Mexico. The discussions and lessons learned will be used to aid in the development of the Texas Sediment Management Plan, which will create guidance for sediment resource use to aid in future coastal resiliency and restoration projects on the Texas coast.

The official workshop agenda will be released on October 5. The agenda will include individual presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions spanning a wide range of topics including: Identification and Development Methods for Sediment Resources; Permitting Use of Sediment Resources; Inventorying Sediment Resources; Allocating Sediment Resources; Monitoring Construction Methods, Borrow Areas, Sediment Resources, Budgets, and Transport; Planning Effective Use of Sediment Resources; and Developing or Modifying Policy for Sediment Resources.
