Securing the Software Factory

Securing the Software Factory

School of BusinessGrand Rapids, MI
Overview

.: because dev environments are privileged and full of secrets :.

Lets talk about the messy, trusted path around the code: laptops, IDEs, CI jobs, GitHub Actions, packages, AI tools, test runners, secrets, and deploy scripts. Attackers are actively going after these dev environments because they are privileged and often full of secrets. We will look at what can go wrong and what practical guardrails help keep the path from commit to deploy safer without making developers miserable.

Our own Alex O'Meara will be presenting and facilitating conversations. He is a security engineer over at Stack Overflow and has lots of thoughts and opinions on code and development security.
