Join the Central Rapp chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists on Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Fredericksburg-Rappahannock chapter of the IWLA. This interpretive nature walk will be a discovery adventure for the whole family, including curious youth, experienced adults and well seasoned seniors alike.
As our surroundings once again turn green, with temperatures rising and spring rains enabling a resurgence of growth and new life, we naturally enjoy the warmth and beauty of it all. But we sometimes overlook the wonderous ecological details of life, and the interactions taking place in the natural environment that surrounds us.
On the 10th of May we are going to take a moment to "stop and smell the roses," so to speak. We are fortunate to have a newly formed partnership with the local chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists (VMN). An expert team of VMN biological educators and enthusiasts will guide us through a closer look at nature, as we explore the flora and fauna of our local IWLA grounds for a couple of hours, with an eye toward ecological discovery.
Public event--limited to 30 non-member sign-ups! Pre-registration preferred but not required.
**This will be a 1-2 mile walk over varied, relatively flat terrain. This is not a paved trail--Sticks, rocks, and other obstacles will be encountered. Wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection.**
