The Secondary Transition Summit is designed for young adults, families, and professionals to learn about essential tools, strategies, and resources to help individuals with disabilities successfully transition into adulthood through a combination of expert-led workshops, interactive breakout sessions, and panel discussions. The Secondary Transition Summit will help young adults, professionals, and families navigate secondary transition by envisioning, equipping, and empowering young adults to succeed.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Young adults with disabilities, ages 14-26, seeking guidance and strategies for successful transitions from high school to their next steps.
  • Families and caregivers looking for tools to support the transition process.
  • Educators, transition specialists, and service providers exploring best practices for supporting young adults with disabilities.



OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

  • Continental Breakfast & Lunch on Saturday are included with your registration fee
  • Professional Development Hours will be available for teachers, contact Jenifer Updike @ DPI, 701-328-4098.

Where should I park?

Because MSU will be in summer session in June, there won't be any parking restrictions. The closest parking lot to the Student Conference Center is located to the east across the street from Bishop Ryan. Here is a link to MSU's parking map: https://www.minotstateu.edu/parking/pdf/parking_map.pdf

How do I get to the MSU Conference Center?

The MSU Conference Center is located on the 3rd floor of the Student Center. The best access door is the east door by the parking lot and then take the elevator to the 3rd floor.
