About this event

We are beyond excited to be partnering with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail this outdoor walk season!

Join us downtown every second Tuesday evening, April through October, for the Hot Walk Indy x Indianapolis Cultural Trail series.

In May, July, and September:

5:30-6PM | meet us on the canal at Vermont Street Plaza for a casual meet & greet. Grab a drink or snack from Fresco Italian Cafe on the Canal before the walk. We get 15% off food/beverages - it's on the canal, just a 3 minute walk from the plaza.
6PM | we'll embark on an adventurous walk along the the vibrant and scenic canal, passing by the iconic Indiana State Museum and White River State Park.
7PM | join us at Brew Link for $2 Taco Tuesdays and $5 margaritas and shots. Plus, anyone who attends will be entered in the Brew Link $25 Gift Card raffle giveaway!

All ages and walk levels are welcome to join our inclusive community walks. Participation is FREE and open to all, but registration is required. Walk is stroller and dog-friendly. Let's make new friends and memories together!

If canceled due to weather, we’ll re-schedule for the fourth Tuesday of the month. Follow @hotwalkindy to stay up-to-date.

Nearby paid street parking is available on Senate Ave., Indiana Ave., New York St., Ohio St., and 11th St.

Where does the event start?

On the Vermont Street Plaza - meet us outside on the Canal Walk.

Can I come alone?

Of course! We foster a welcoming environment by ensuring a Walk Lead greets and makes name tags for each person, which we'll write in your neighborhood to help break the ice. First-timers get a "1" on their tags which helps you quickly identify who else is new! We typically have several newcomers.

What if I am running late, get lost or it's raining?

Can I bring a stroller?

Please note that there are a couple bridge passes along this route that have steps to cross. Sometimes Walk Leads are able to lend a hand and help carry strollers up stairs if you ask . Check the attached map showing elevator/ stair access :)

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome! Just note, if you join us for the social activity afterwards, just know that dogs are only allowed on the outdoor patio.

Who typically shows up to walks?

Hot Walk Indy is geared for the Girls, Gays and Theys. ALL are welcome! And we get a lot of newcomers, too! Come join us :)
