Overview

You can't borrow another person's experience

He said, “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” (Judges 6:13) Join us for an online gathering as we explore the truth about God’s character.

Many people build their understanding of God through second-hand experiences, traditions, or what others have said about Him. This meeting will look at what it means to know God personally and discover the courage that comes from encountering Him for ourselves. When God approached Gideon, Gideon did not begin by questioning himself. He questioned God FIRST! Something we tend to miss! He said, “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” (Judges 6:13) Gideon was wrestling with who God was. And when your perspective of God is distorted, your identity will always feel disconnected from what He has called you to do.

If you misunderstand who God is, you will struggle to believe who He says you are. God did not come to Gideon simply to solve a problem. God came so Gideon could encounter Him. God does not want us to build our faith on second hand experiences.

He does not want us to know Him only through what we have heard from others. He does not want our understanding of Him to be shaped only by stories, traditions, or someone else’s testimony. God wants a direct relationship with us. Personal. Intimate. Real.

When we form our opinions about God through the experiences of others, we often arrive with our minds already made up. We miss the opportunity for God to reveal Himself personally. Gideon needed more than a story about what God did for previous generations. Gideon needed to experience God for himself. That encounter changed everything for him and his generation! 1.

Do you truly know God for yourself? 2.Is your faith built on Truth or second hand experiences? 3. Where does real courage come from?

Join our online zoom meeting.

Come as you.

Come ready to surrender.
