We are so excited to be putting on our 2nd Annual Gaines 5K Run with a 1 Mile Fun Run option.
We have high hopes for this event because:
This BETTER TOGETHER Run/Walk is a *fundraiser* and all proceeds will go to our former Gaines Elementary student and current SCHS student Randall Klomp.
In support of our fellow Dragon, we are encouraging participants to wear represent our hometown & wear school colors or spirit gear! We know that we are BETTER TOGETHER & we will be advertising the run to those who live in Village of Gaines with hopes that if they aren't walking or running, they can join us on the sidelines to cheer on runners.
Our goal is to make this a SUPER successful event, and we will be gifting our youngest runners with capes! (They can wear them as they run or after they finish.)
Both run options will begin at Pine Hill Park, same as last year!
The 5K route will take Ray to Markley, turn around & finish with a lap around the Village of Gaines alongside the Fun Run participants. The 1 Mile Fun Run will take you down Elm St & around the perimeter of the Village of Gaines.
5K runners will head out at 10am, and the Fun Run will begin at 10:30.
All runners will receive a finisher's medal, banana & water at the finish.
*A LL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. Children will not be allowed to run or walk without a parent/guardian/adult who is also participating*
