About this event
As you enter the Gum Wall, you'll notice a buzz of excitement in the air. Everyone here is gathered to have a good time and laugh. Families of all ages are lining up at the concession stand, where you can smell the fresh buttered popcorn, and over at the bar, they are serving icy and inexpensive drinks.
When you enter the theater, you'll feel the music's beat. You're experiencing Theatresports, a high-energy improv show where teams of improv professionals create spontaneous scenes that are so hilarious, quick-witted, and perfectly constructed that it's hard to believe they are made up on the spot.
Join us every Friday and Saturday at the Gum Wall in Pike Place Market, with doors opening at 9 PM and the show starting at 9:30 PM.
TheaterSports, all the way! They are goofy, silly, funny, unabashed, clever, witty people. I didn't know what to expect before going but found myself laughing at practically everything they did or said. This is improv comedy at its finest. Lea A., 5 stars, Yelp
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. There are no refunds, exchanges, or transfers. Please confirm your date.
We describe all of our shows as PG13. While Unexpected Productions always strives to present material that is appropriate for teen and adult audiences, due to the unpredictable and audience-participatory nature of improvisation, it is impossible to guarantee the content.

Unexpected Productions shows run approximately 70-90 minutes long. Since each performance is unique, it is difficult to provide an exact time.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to performances.
Our shows are packed with excitement, humor, and unpredictability. We rely solely on improvisation, which means we never have a set script or plan. Our gifted improvisers use audience suggestions to spontaneously create unique moments during each performance. Every show is unique and different.
We categorize shows as PG13 unless stated otherwise in the show description. While we strive to make our content appropriate for both teenagers and adults, the unpredictable and interactive style of improvisation means that we cannot always guarantee the suitability of the content.
If you are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, or a bachelor/bachelorette party, please let us know. We will try to get you a shout-out from the stage or use you in a scene. We can’t always guarantee it, but we will try.
Our performances are designed to involve you, the audience. While we do invite volunteers to participate, we never pressure anyone to come on stage or make fun of anyone. If you do choose to volunteer, we ensure that you have a good time, stay safe, and make lasting memories.

We are primarily an improv theater. Occasionally we do offer guest artists and different types of performances, but it is rare.
Improv involves group collaboration to create a spontaneous story based on audience suggestions, while standup is a solo performance relying on a memorized script.
