About this event

  • 3 hours

If you're queer and you like crafting (or want to start crafting), you're in the right place! Every month, our group meets up to work on projects and connect. Projects range from coloring books to mending to watercolors. Come for the entire time or drop by for an hour—all our welcome.

*Masks Required

NOTE:

This event is for everyone who identifies as queer, trans, nonbinary, or questioning. Don't worry for a second about being "queer enough" - you're beyond welcome.

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

Bring your craft project, your mask, a snack or drink for yourself, and any friends who want to join!

I'm new, what should I expect?

Every month is a new mix of people, so you will never feel like the odd one out. People come and go during the session, too. When you show up, you can put on a name tag, then pick a seat and get crafting! There will be light music, and people alternate between chatting and working quietly.

Is there parking?

Yes, the Capital Hill Library has parking on site. You can learn more here: https://www.spl.org/hours-and-locations/capitol-hill-branch

Is this event covid conscious?

Yes! We expect all attendees to wear a mask and have tested negative before attending the event. If you forget your mask, the library provides some at the front door.

What's in the room? (My project is complicated)

There are electrical outlets and a sink in the room we use and it is located right next to the elevator. There are a bunch of folding tables and chairs that can be set up.

Is this event accessible?

Yes! In addition to covid safety precautions, the library is a fully accessible location. Our meeting room is on the second floor, right next to the elevator. The door can sometimes be tricky and we are happy to help if you'd like any assistance.
