Seasonal Berries and Strawberry Cultivation in Silver Spring

Have an adventure while learning how to forage freely for mulberries, serviceberries, wineberries, wild blackberries much more!  You will also learn about our vertical growing techniques and some of the unique ways in which we have been able to maintain a local strawberry harvest all year long! We will be meeting up at 9 AM. We will enjoy refreshments with homegrown ingredients, tour the garden space, and then venture out on a foraging walk where we will definitely encounter mulberries and wineberries amongst other seasonal produce growing all around us. Come prepared to share some recipes on how you'll want to preserve your haul- You can keep what you collect!  Great for drinks, jams, or just snacking.
