The Crim Fitness Foundation—Mindfulness Initiative hopes you will join this Search Inside Yourself (SIYI) Leadership Institute. This unique two-day professional development opportunity uses mindfulness to enhance leadership skills. Crim Mindfulness Initiative team member Marie Jones-Watts and Crim Mindfulness fellow LaShonda Jack will facilitate this course.

Course Overview:

The Search Inside Yourself Leadership program was developed and tested at Google and has spread to over 50 countries and 150 cities worldwide.

  • Leading experts in neuroscience, business, and psychology developed the course.
  • It teaches practical, mindful leadership and emotional intelligence tools to bring out your best.
  • Supporting leaders to manage change, stay resilient, and inspire growth.
  • This training has been proven to reduce stress, improve focus, raise peak performance, and improve interpersonal relationships.


This will be an in-person course at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan -

Thursday, October 17th, 2024 & Friday, October 18th, 2024

Time: 9am to 4:30pm


This is one of many local and national efforts to create a more Mindful Flint through the Mindful Cities Initiative, which is in collaboration with Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, A Foundation for Mindful Society, and many Flint and Genesee County community members and organizations.


Scholarships:

The full cost of this course is $650.00

  • Generous scholarships are available through grant funding to support:
  • Genesee County residents to attend for $300 (50% scholarship).
  • Genesee County educators and non-profit employees for $150 (75% scholarship).
  • City of Flint residents and City of Flint staff to attend at no cost (100% scholarship).
