The Heath Fire Department and West Licking Fire Department will be hosting Sean Duffy for a total of three days as he shares his insights on what he is most passionate about in the fire service: Search and Rescue.

As listed, there is one lecture day on 10/18/24 located at the First Baptist Church ( 525 S 30th St, Heath, OH 43056 ) from 09:00-17:00. Lectures include Sean's lecture Searchable VS Survivable: Educated Decision Making in the morning, followed by Civilian Rescue: Removing the Occupant after lunch.

The folowing two HOT classes on 10/19/24 and 10/20/24 are both the same class. This was done for the avalibility of the guests that plan to attend. Both Hot classes will be held at West Licking station 402 ( 7072 National Rd SW, Pataskala, OH 43062) from 10:00 -17:00

Guests may choose to purchace tickets for the lecture portion only, or to purchace a ticket for lecture and one of two HOT classes.

A liability waiver is required to be signed for the HOT classes.

Your usual set of turnout gear and SCBA (with spare bottels) are required for the HOT class.

A little about Sean Duffy:

Sean Duffy has been a Firefighter for 19 years and currently works for the City of Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is a Co-Founder of Build Your Culture LLC, Founder of Great Lakes H.O.T Fire Conference, and a Co Host for Make due Suburban Firemen Podcast and Unlock Your Culture Webcast. He has an Associates degree in Fire Science and holds many professional and technical certifications. Sean has instructed at many local, state, national and international events as well as having published work in multiple trade magazines. He is the president of Mitten State F.O.O.L.S and enjoys passing on his knowledge gained from his mentors as well as his personal experiences in an effort to leave the fire service better than he found it.

Coffee, doughnuts and other refreshments will be provided courtesey of the Local 2090 and the Heath Fire Department.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I only attend one HOT class?

Both HOT classes are the same class. There is two of them to accommodate the work schedules of those who attend.

Will lunch be provided?

No, however there will be a lunch break during the lecture and HOT classes.

What equipment is required?

For the HOT class, bring the set of turnout gear and SCBA (with spare bottles) that you are used to using in order to get used to it in less ideal conditions.

Can I purchase tickets for this class with tax exemption?

Currently we do not have a tax exception set up.

How do I get a refund?
