Florida-born SEAN CHAMBERS began his career in the Blues back in 1998 when he toured with the legendary Hubert Sumlin as his guitarist and band leader until 2003. During Sean’s tenure with Mr. Sumlin, Britain’s Guitarist magazine named Chambers as “One of the top 50 blues guitarists of the last century.”

Sean’s albums are critically acclaimed, charted on Billboard Blues, and nominated for awards by Canada’s Underground Blues Network, the Jimi Awards, and the Blues Blast Music Awards.

On March 1st, 2020, Chambers went into the studio and recorded his 8th album entitled “That’s What I’m Talkin’ About”, a tribute to his mentor the late great Hubert Sumlin. The album reached the Top Ten on the Billboard Blues Charts and received accolades and rave reviews around the globe.

“It’s great to see an unsung guitar legend the caliber of Hubert Sumlin, who played with Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, being celebrated by a young artist Sean Chambers. Hubert was bending strings before anyone!” - Paul Rodgers (Bad Company) - (Jul 09, 2021)

In 2023, shortly after the unfortunate passing of Savoy Brown’s founder & leader, Kim Simmonds, Chambers teamed up with the Savoy Brown rhythm section, Pat De Salvo on Bass, and Garnet Grimm on drums. Chambers and the members of Savoy Brown became friends after playing a festival together in 2019. Savoy Brown and Sean Chambers are on the same record label, so the change made sense and felt right to all three musicians.

Kim Simmonds was in full support and gave the three his blessing shortly before his passing on December 13th, 2022.

MEET THE BAND:

PAT DE SALVO began recording with Kim Simmonds in 2001 on his solo records “Blues Like Midnight” and his follow-up solo album “Struck by Lighting”, playing acoustic bass on both. He also worked with Kim on two CD’s with Jimmy Cavallo “House Rocker” which was nominated for a W.C. Handy award, and the follow-up “You Better Believe It”.

Pat began touring and recording with Kim full-time in 2009 playing on” Voodoo Moon”, “Songs from the Road”, “Going to the Delta”, “The Devil to Pay”, and “Witchy Feelin’ ” which hit number 1 on Billboard under the Ruf label.

Pat also played and mixed two live records “Still Live After 50 Years” Volume 1 and 2. “City Nights”, “Ain’t Done Yet” and “Blues with a Feeling”, as well as a DVD Live From Daryl’s House. In the 1990s Pat began the record label “Poverty Records” releasing four records including two “Harmonica Blow-Off “records. Pat recorded over 20 records regionally in Central New York.

GARNET GRIMM hails from Syracuse NY. Garnet has been a professional drummer for over 4 decades. He served in the United States Army, then graduated from Onondaga Community College with a degree in music and a longing to perform, Garnet began spending a lot of time in the 1990s playing and touring with regional bands, working extensively the eastern seaboard and the Canadian provinces.

In 1999 Garnet was introduced to Kim Simmonds who was residing in Central New York. Together with bassist Pat De Salvo he worked on Kim’s solo recording, “Blues Like Midnight”, later playing dates together with Kim as an acoustic/electric trio. In 2009 Simmonds invited Garnet along with Pat De Salvo to Join Savoy Brown. The trio spent 14 years playing, recording, and touring together until Kim’s passing in December 2022.
