Sea Turtle Panel
Come learn about CROW's sea turtle care and patients from experts in the field of wildlife rehab and medicine in this talk!
Welcome to the Sea Turtle Panel speaker series presentation! Join us on Friday, April 3rd at 1:00 PM at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) Visitor Education Center to learn about our new sea turtle complex, and sea turtle rehabilitation. A panel of speakers, including veterinarians, wildlife rehabbers, and a sea turtle biologist, will teach you all about these flippered friends!
About the speakers: This panel will have five speakers. Dr. Jessica Comolli is CROW's Research and Medical Director. Dr. Ashlee Flanagan is a veterinarian at Mote Marine Aquarium. Savannah Weber is a sea turtle biologist at Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation. Julie Toma is the Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager at CROW, and Chris Gorman is a wildlife rehabilitation specialist at CROW with experience in sea turtle rehabilitation.
Additionally, attendees may opt in on the tour after the panel has concluded. It will be around 30 minutes long and will include information on the history of CROW, the process of rebuilding after Category 4 Hurricane Ian in 2022, and the facility. We do not know yet what the tour will look like; we likely will not go inside the building. The walls are chain link fencing, and we will be able to see inside. This will not be available over ZOOM and includes an extra fee. On the off chance we have to cancel the tour, you will be refunded the tour amount.
