About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

A. Lecture:
Learn to recognize characteristic symptoms of red blotch in red wine cultivars, the best time of year to monitor, and how to distinguish GRBV from other disorders. The team will also walk us through molecular detection tools—when and how to use qPCR and LAMP to confirm what you're seeing in the field.

B. Workshop:
Roll up your sleeves and get practical. You’ll collect tissue samples, label and track them properly, and run a LAMP assay step-by-step. We'll cover how to test, how to interpret results, and the nuances of sampling, especially for asymptomatic vines like Sauvignon Blanc or when multiple viruses are in play.
