Center for Anglican Communion Studies 2024-2025

This collection incudes the Center for Anglican Communion Studies' (CACS) events for the 2024-2025 academic year. This year's theme is “You are My Witnesses.”

This training session, hosted by the Center for Anglican Communion Studies, prepares participants to become Scriptural Reading (SR) facilitators. SR is a practice where people of the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faiths read and reflect upon short passages from their respective scriptures, all focused on a common topic within the Abrahamic tradition. Facilitated by a study leader, each session is an opportunity to listen and share perspectives in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The result is often a deeper understanding of others’ and one’s own scriptures, as well as the development of bonds across faith communities.This SR study leader training session will be conducted in conjunction with <a href="https://www.rosecastlefoundation.org/" title="https://www.rosecastlefoundation.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the Rose Castle Foundation</a>, the premier source for Scriptural Reasoning training, resources, and opportunities. This session prepares participants to become SR facilitators and will be led by Hannah Larn, Rose Castle Foundation Program Manager, and Ashley Mason Brown, a Rose Castle graduate. Both experienced SR participants and those new to the idea are welcome to attend. Participation in the Rumi Forum: Empathy session taking place in LPER is included.
