Join Timothy Mark Davis (producer, director, actor) and Rick Negron (screenwriter, producer, professor) for an interactive screenwriting workshop! This 3 hour workshop will give screenwriters at all levels the essential tools for creating structure out of character.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to write and submit their own short scripts to be produced by Finicky Pictures in 2024-2025. The final hour of the workshop will include a small bites and drinks networking reception.

Timothy Mark Davis is an independent filmmaker based in South Florida. Recently he produced the short film Konpa, which premiered in competition at the 2023 Tribeca Festival and won the Made in Miami Award at the 2024 Miami Film Festival. In 2021 he wrote and directed the short film The Leap for the 48 Hour Film Project which garnered awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress. Previously he produced and co-starred in the feature film, Pompano Boy, which premiered at the Heartland Film Festival and received the Best in Broward Award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. For over twenty-five years, Rick Negron has worked on narrative and client-based projects in South Florida, New York, and Mississippi. He is a recognized film educator and scholar and is currently the chair of Film Production at Belhaven University where he invests in the next generation of filmmakers. Rick continues to write, produce, and direct original projects, especially those involving underrepresented communities.
