Join us for Screenagers: Elementary Edition, where kids learn to be tech smart!

Join Us for Screenagers: Elementary Edition!


Screenagers: Elementary Edition dives into the ups and downs of digital life and offers tips to help balance technology with fun, creativity, and learning.

Doors open at 5:45PM, the film will show from 6-7PM, film will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A panel featuring:

  • Dr. Rachel Hanebutt, developmental and community psychologist at Georgetown University, who works with caregivers and youth to build healthier relationships with digital technology and social media
  • Peng Wu, Janney Elementary parent and attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice focusing on cases involving children targeted on social media
  • Suzanne Smalley, parent of three, advocate of the Wait Until 8th initiative at Janney Elementary, and a parent reflecting on early smartphone use
  • Patrick Rottman, Assistant Principal (8th Grade) at Deal Middle School
