About this event

  • 5 hours

Registration secures your spot but day-of walkins are also welcome after 10 am. Walk-ins under age 18 MUST bring a screening packet with parent signature and contact info. See SCREENING PACKET below to download.

Event includes a cardiac risk assessment, ECG, consultation with a physician and if indicated, a limited echocardiogram. Typically takes less than an hour. You will register for an appointment window.

It costs our foundation $25 to screen a teen once you register, and you are holding a spot from others, so we urge you to keep your appointment or cancel in advance vs. no-showing.

SCREENING PACKET - A MUST! Go to screenyourteens.org to download, fully complete, and bring the screening packet to your screening appointment. EACH YOUTH NEEDS THEIR OWN PACKET.

The vision of the Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation is that sudden cardiac arrest will be exposed as a grave and overlooked health risk affecting young people, which will lead to mandatory cardiac screenings and the required placement of AEDs and cardiac emergency response planning and training in schools and youth-centered programs.

Through awareness, education and action, our mission is to influence families, youth, educators, sports programs, elected officials and the medical community to recognize the incidence of sudden cardiac arrest in youth, to support the standardization of of prevention protocol at home, in school, on the field and at the doctor’s office, and to empower youth to become the next generation of life savers.

Our free heart screenings for ages 12 to 25 have identified 500+ with cardiac abnormalities — 236 significant enough to cause sudden cardiac arrest.
