Scratch Lab – Workshop Overview

The Scratch Lab is a hands-on DJ workshop designed to introduce DJs and music enthusiasts to the art of scratching. Hosted by www.DJMeetups.com, this session provides a welcoming environment where participants can learn foundational turntable techniques, practice new skills, and connect with other DJs in the community.

The workshop will be led by DJ As-One, 2019 DMC US Supremacy Champion who will guide participants through the fundamentals of scratching, vinyl control, and rhythm. Whether you’re a beginner touching a turntable for the first time or a DJ looking to sharpen your scratch technique, the Scratch Lab offers practical instruction and hands-on learning using professional DJ equipment.

During the workshop, participants will:

• Learn the fundamentals of scratching and turntable control
• Practice basic scratch patterns and techniques
• Understand how scratching fits into DJ performance and mixing
• Receive tips and guidance from experienced DJs
• Collaborate and network with fellow DJs in the community

The Scratch Lab will be facilitated by DJ Nadir, DJ Be Love, and Jimmy Reid, who will help guide the session, support participants during hands-on practice, and keep the energy flowing throughout the workshop.
