Scratch Day 2016
Come celebrate GLOBAL Scratch Day on May 15th 2016 at Howard Community College. Howard County non profit, Be You, Inc. will be organizing this Community Coding Event bringing together Girls Who Code, How Girls Code & be.a.coder to expose youth in grades K-12 to the fields of computer science & engineering. We will be celebrating Global Scratch Day along with MIT and millions of others across the globe! Girls and boys of all ages are welcome to come enjoy an afternoon coding in Scratch and gaining exposure to the field of computer science. This is a FREE event and no experience is necessary. Light refreshments will also be served.
Information will be availble on How Girls Code for girls in grades K-5, Girls Who Code for girls in grades 6-12 and be.a.coder for boys and girls in grades 6-12. We will also have information on The Social Impact Club , which is using innovation and entrepreneurship to impact social change and will be planning the day's events.
