Who belongs in science? Join us for Sciversify UBCO, a student-led virtual conference discussing equity and diversity in STEM.

<p>Recognizing an ongoing lack of diversity within the field of science, Sciversify UBCO is a new, student-led initiative aimed at sparking a discussion around equity and diversity in STEM. This 3-day conference, delivered via Zoom in the evenings from September 21-23, will consist of a keynote speech on Indigenous knowledge, research, and sustainability, an equity training workshop, and a panel discussion on diversity in STEM. These events will create a space for scientists of underrepresented communities to showcase their work and discuss their lived experiences, as well as provide UBCO community members with the tools and knowledge they need to help promote a diverse, equitable environment within science.
