Aperçu

Passionate about solving global sustainability problems? Interested in artificial intelligence and its potential to shape the way scientific research will be conducted in the future? Curious to test out tools that are being developed on that front?

The Future Earth Media Lab, Stockholm Resilience Centre and Iris AI warmly welcome you join the Science Hackathon, aka Scithon, focused on planetary boundaries. In the Scithon you will get to explore solutions to a predetermined global environmental problem and to test out research tools, including the newly launched AI Science Assistant, Iris.

What: Scithon focused on exploring solutions to global sustainability. Goal: To map out solutions to a pre-determined research problem and to assess the usefulness of various research tools in conducting fast and effective research mapping exercises.

Who we look for: Researchers and students with a curious mind from across research disciplines. Previous experience in the areas of environmental change or sustainability is not required.

Participants are asked to: Search the academic literature to answer a broad multidisciplinary question.

The event is organised by Iris AI, Future Earth Media Lab and Stockholm Resilience Centre.

---

Iris AI is a cross-european startup building an AI Science Assistant.

Future Earth Media Lab creates pioneering, experimental approaches to connect science to society. It is part of Future Earth is a research initiative for global sustainability.

Stockholm Resilience Centre is an international centre that advances transdisciplinary research for governance of social-ecological systems.
