We are so excited to host educators from New Jersey and surrounding states at our upcoming in-person Professional Learning Showcase at the Rutgers EcoComplex Conference center on Wednesday, June 5th! This all-day professional learning event will provide educators with the opportunity to get to know the Schoolwide professional learning team of experts, attend interactive talks and breakout sessions on important and timely topics in literacy, and network with local peers. Our theme for the day is “Cultivating & Sustaining Partnerships,'' which we believe is crucial at so many levels - partnership, trust, shared vision and goals - these are all so important to us as your partners, and we look forward to getting together to celebrate this sentiment!
The types of sessions you can expect:
- Interactive sharing - how to create a culture that celebrates reader and writer identity
- Breakout sessions (you choose your topics!), featuring topics such as: supporting multilingual learners, building internal capacity, and reading like a writer
- “Make and take” breakout sessions
- Fundamentals speed sessions: integrating Schoolwide resources in your literacy curriculum
