Schmiggitty's 4th Annual Summer Stand Up Series

Steamboat Comedy and Schmiggity's Live Music and Dance Bar are excited to bring you the 4th annual Schmiggity's Summer Stand-Up Series! Big jokes are back in the boat for weekend shows from June to September, with hilarious headliners from all over the country!

The Summer kicks off June 14th & 15th with the return of Brent Gill! His comedy is fun, energetic, and authentic with a splash of filth… because who doesn’t like a good old fashioned dirty joke every now and then? Brent made his television debut on Viceland’s Flophouse followed by appearances on Hidden America with Jonah Ray and Jimmy Carr & the Science of Laughter on the BBC. His first 1 hour comedy special, "Live from Gilladelphia" will release December 1, 2022 with Helium Comedy Studios. Currently, Brent is featured on several tour stops with David Spade, and over his many years at Comedy Works has featured for Dave Chappelle, Ron White, Shane Gillis, Taylor Tomlinson, Nate Bargatze, Bob Saget, Whitney Cummings and so many more.

Then June 28th & 29th Steamboat Comedy Welcomes the great Aaron Naylor! Aaron is a Chicago-based comedian from Kansas City. Aaron has become a midwest favorite, placing 2nd in the 2016 Cleveland comedy festival, winning the 2017 Funniest Person in Wichita, and was featured on season 8 of Comcast’s Trial by Laughter. In 2021, he was named the funniest person in Kansas City by KC magazine, while also co-founding the Fountain City Comedy Festival. in 2023, he released a book called "Things I Wrote" to acclaim, he thinks, and shot his first comedy special "Born Illiterate" with Four by Three productions. He tours across the country regularly, so if you’ve got some hugs, please give him some.

July 5th & 6th we're joined by the very talented Hannah Jones! Hannah is a stand up comedian based in Denver, Colorado. After being homeschooled in a conservative, religious co-op, her irreverent takes on sex, dating, and gender politics are as original as they are deeply uncomfortable for her mother to hear. She is a regular Woman About The Internet, and her videos on Tiktok and Instagram have been viewed over 30 million times, earning her a cult following and allowing her to sell out independent rooms across the country. She has been featured on Netflix is a Joke Radio and has a forthcoming set with Don't Tell Secret Sets. Her comedy has been written about in Denverite and Westword, and covered on Channel 7 News.

July 12th & 13th the Schmiggity's stage is once again graced by the great Adam Newman! Adam is a Los Angeles-based comedian, musician, and podcaster who's done stand-up on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with James Corden, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, Gotham Comedy Live, and a bunch of other shows on streaming services that are now dead.He has a Comedy Central half hour special, an Amazon hour special called Fuzzies, and another new hour special called Jew Versus the Volcano on YouTube. Comedy Central named Adam a Comic to Watch way back in 2011, and then he was a New Face at the JFL Montreal Comedy Festival in 2013.

August 2nd & 3rd the series rolls on with the incredible Simon Gibson! Simon is the comedic force taking the entertainment world by storm! As the co-host of NBC and USA Network’s hit show CANNONBALL, Simon has proven himself as a standout talent with his infectious energy and razor-sharp wit. His journey to comedy superstardom began with a bang after a showstopping performance at the prestigious Just For Laughs New Faces showcase in Montreal

August 23rd & 24th the hilarious Steve Gillespie returns! Steve Gillespie has appeared on CONAN, Amazon Prime’s, Inside Joke, and FOX’s, Laughs - All Stars. Gillespie’s second comedy album Alive on State reached #1 on iTunes Comedy Charts and hit the top 10 on the Billboard charts. His 3rd comedy album Liminal Bliss was released earlier this year with Helium Comedy Records. It reached #2 on the iTunes Comedy Charts, so he is getting worse. Steve as performed at some of the best festivals in country including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, 10k Laughs, and High Plains Comedy Festival in Denver, CO. He was named a finalist in CMT’s Next Big Comic, runner up for Best of the Midwest at Gilda’s Laughfest, and his debut album “Steve Fever” was named a top 10 comedy album of the year by ComedyReviews.com

The Summer series comes to a close September 6th & 7th with special guest Peter Wong! A New York City based comedian whose work has been featured on Comedy Central and FunnyOrDie. Peter also posts original comedy sketches to YouTube and his channel has over 4 million views. In 2021 he was named one of New York Comedy Festival’s “Comics to Watch”, and in 2022 he was a performer on The Limestone Comedy Festival, the Asian Comedy Festival, and 10,000 Laughs.
