Embark on an Exclusive Journey

Join Professional Scent Detection Handlers, Jason, JP, and Alex, Drawing from Military, Police, and Search and Rescue Expertise, for an Intensive Workshop Experience.

This three-day workshop is meticulously designed to incorporate both theory and practical training, empowering you to implement advanced strategies and methods to elevate your scent detection skills to new heights.

Each day will feature one theory session led by an instructor, followed by four practical sessions delving into the covered topics and allowing ample opportunity to practice in real-life scenarios.

Working spots are tailored to different training levels, ensuring personalized attention and maximizing learning opportunities. Each working team will engage in 1-2 practical sessions with each instructor daily, totaling approximately 8 hours of working time on Saturday and Sunday, and 6 hours on Monday. We've deliberately kept working spots limited to optimize the time your dog spends with each trainer.

Auditors have the flexibility to choose which sessions and instructors to observe throughout the day.

Day One: Immerse Yourself in Scent Theory with Alex, Followed by Four Practical Sessions Solving Scent Picture Puzzles and Cones.

Day Two: Hone Your Skills in SLAM and Search Techniques with Jason Hill, Equipping You and Your Dog for Precision Searches through Theory Workshops and Four Hands-On Sessions.

Day Three: Explore the Essentials of Teamwork with JP, Mastering Cohesive Handling and Achieving Success Together. Conclude with the Ultimate Search Guided by All Three Instructors, Complete with Live Feedback.

Who is this workshop suitable for?
This Scent Bootcamp caters to anyone with a dog interested in scent work, including competitors, those training to compete, industry professionals, or enthusiasts eager to delve into this captivating sport!

Working spots must already be familiar with odors - Birch for Novice Level and all odors for the others. All working spot dogs must be comfortable waiting in their vehicle or being crated away from their handlers for a period of time.

Levels for working spots include the following:

• Level 1: Novice or new to advanced trialling
• Level 2: Advanced/excellent triallers
• Level 3: Masters aiming to compete in Ultimate

Auditors can choose to observe any level and do not have any prerequisites.
