Join us for an intensive study on acting technique, expertly led by  Shakespeare Dallas' Education Manager, Lauren LeBlanc.

Shakespeare Dallas Office

Shakespeare Dallas is thrilled to offer a brand new resource for adult actors (17+) with this 4-week course on scene study and acting technique. Students will explore scenes from various scripts. After analyzing the text, students will be assigned pieces to perform and be coached on. This class is taught by Lauren LeBlanc with guest instruction from Raphael Parry. Please have a 1-2 minute monologue prepared for the first class so that we may gage your strengths as an actor. CLASS TIMESMonday, March 21 (6:00 - 7:30 PM)Monday, March 28 (6:00 - 7:30 PM)Monday, April 4 (6:00 - 7:30 PM)Monday, April 11 (6:00 - 7:30 PM)Each class will be held at 1250 Majesty Drive in Dallas, TX . SAFETY Students must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon registration and will remain masked during class, except during performances. COST This 4-week course is $150. Financial aid for BIPOC performers is available. BIPOC students may email Nathan at nautrey@shakespearedallas.org to enroll for just $95. ABOUT LAUREN<a href="https://www.laurenkleblanc.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lauren LeBlanc</a> joined the Shakespeare Dallas team as Education Manager earlier this year. She is an actor, writer, and teaching artist who has worked at Casa Mañana, Circle Theatre, Imprint Theatreworks, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Second Thought Theatre, and Theatre Three. She studied at Texas State, University of Louisville, and SUNY- Stony Brook, and has worked as a public school educator and teaching artist since 2005. She&#x27;s a member of Actors Equity Association, the Society for Children&#x27;s Book Writers and Illustrators, and is represented by Kim Dawson Talent. ABOUT RAPHAEL <a href="https://www.dmagazine.com/arts-entertainment/2011/08/in-raphael-parry%e2%80%99s-life-theater-always-comes-first/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Raphael Parry </a>serves at the Executive and Artistic Director of Shakespeare Dallas since 2005. He oversees all productions and has also directed and performed in over 35 plays for the company including The Merry Wives of Windsor, King Lear, Tartuffe, and more. Parry is the co-founder and former Co-Artistic Director of Undermain Theatre.
