Mr. Strobel works for the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Bill was appointed as the GSA Region 6 Small Business Technical Advisor (SBTA) April, 2018. (GSA Region 6 covers Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.) Bill supports the Region 6 Acquisition Workforce and also serves as a Small Business Advocate for all small, small disadvantaged, small woman owned, HUBZone, small veteran and small service disabled veteran owned businesses. Bill provides small business advocacy through supporting outreach and counseling, prime contracting programs, subcontracting programs, program and organizational support and training. Bill previously worked as the Small Business Liaison with U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 15 (NCO-15) and the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) from November 2012 to April 2018. Bill began working in contracting as an intern September 2009, with the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), at Fort Leavenworth, KS and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Upper Iowa University.
Mr. Strobel will provide information and guidance on GSA and their opportunities. The overview will include information on contracting opportunities, the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Program, Public Buildings Service, Federal Acquisition Service, Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC), the Forecast of Contracting Opportunities, the Small Business Administration’s Subcontracting Network (SubNet), Section 889 guidance, and more.
