<P>Montreal's Matthew Chaim is captivating audiences with his genre-bending songwriting style and unique vocal tone. Matthew grew up listening to the likes of Coldplay, Nirvana, and The Beatles. In his teenage years, he picked up the drums and fell immediately in love with the instrument. But it wasn’t until his early 20’s — having graduated university and working a 9-to-5 job in finance — that Matthew began writing songs.</P>
<P>Matthew’s first EP, Homemade, was written and produced in Montreal with his close friends and collaborators Noah Barer and Austin Tecks. With Homemade, Matthew started carving out his emotional and soulful sound, while pulling from his influences at the time including Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, and Drake. The title track "Homemade" truly caught people's attention, with its relaxing yet emotional atmosphere that Matthew's warm vocal cuts through like butter.</P>
<P>Matthew’s sound is now evolving into completely new territories, with his musical influences expanding to include the likes of Bon Iver, Radiohead and Tame Impala. Working closely with LA-based producer Rabitt, Matthew Chaim is now releasing new singles off his follow-up EP. The debut single "Sunflowers" is an emotional ode to his late father, and it's mesmerizing listeners with its vulnerable melodies and driving production. Matthew's new EP is set to drop in October 2019.</P>
