Peace be upon you.We are the Muslim Student Association at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. We, as an MSA, work for the betterment of the Muslim and Non-Muslim undergraduate and graduate students. Our mission as a student organization is dedicated to community service, activism and outreach within the UNLV community and the greater Vegas Muslim community. We encourage to create a safe space for our members, while progressing in spiritual growth, learning, networking and exchanging dialogues within our diverse members. Please join us as we gather together a demonstration concerning our Uyghur Muslims in China, and the harsh, vile treatment they&#x27;ve been subjugated to in illegal concentration camps. The Uyghur&#x27;s are predominately Turkic-speaking ethnic groups primarily from China&#x27;s northwestern region of Xinjiang. More than a million Muslims have been arbitrarily detained in China&#x27;s Xinjiang province. The &quot;reeducation camps&quot; are a false cover-up of the unjust attempts to dehumanize and strip Uyghur Muslims of their identity. We will initially meet at CBC where will chant our frustrations while marching to our main destination at 3:30 pm. At Pida Plaza, we will listen to speakers from the Muslim community and messages of solidarity from other communities. Bring your signs. Bring your energy. Bring your friends. We don&#x27;t have to be silent about this ongoing genocide. Show your solidarity on Friday.
