Sassool Brunch Cooking Class

Simone Lawson is the daughter of Sassool owner Mounir Saleh.She has a passion for cooking and sharing her love of Mediterranean food.

Sassool in North Raleigh will be hosting a Lebanese Brunch Cooking Class on Saturday, January 26th from 8:45am-10:45am. 
 
We will be going "Back to Basics" to produce a garden fresh, authentic Lebanese Breakfast. Using Mediterranean staples to highlight the simple combinations that you will find on most Lebanese brunch tables.
 
The menu will consist of the following:
-Homemade Cheese - You will learn how to make cheese from scratch!
-Foul Mudammas - A Saleh family favorite.  It's a traditional breakfast item in Lebanon!
-Ajji- The Lebanese version of an omelet.  It is packed full of veggies and flavor!
-Spinach Fatayer- Spinach and tomatoes inside of our pita dough.  This is a dish not only made for brunch but to enjoy anytime!
-Lebanese Garden Salad - a garden fresh salad made with Tomatoes, Cucumbers and mint.
All guests will be offered a glass of complimentary Sassy Seco as well.
 
The class will be primarily demonstration however some audience members will have a chance to volunteer to cook for short periods of time. Everyone will enjoy eating the recipes as they completed by Simone. Attendees will also learn some cultural pieces in regards to Mediterranean cuisine, traditional meals and complimentary pairings with every dish made.
