Sanford Historical Society presents Sanfording in the 1920s!
A Fundraiser for the Sanford Museum
**Please note this event is 21 and up ONLY. Under 21 will not be admitted.
Join us for an unforgettable evening as we step back in time to what Sanford was like in the 1920s. Who was here? What did the town look like? What community events and social clubs existed? How did people go #sanfording? Immerse yourself in the rich history of Sanford while socializing in a historic home about to celebrate it's 100th year!
Indulge in heavy hors d'oeuvres while listening to Jazz in the night air and learn what life was like then. You can even step up to the bar and order a drink from one of our local celebrity bartenders - liquor from our very own Loggerhead Distillery in Sanford. Drinks will have a nostalgic twist! Whether you are a history buff or simply looking for a unique night out, this event is perfect for you!
Throughout the evening you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful historic home, take photographs at our photo booth and engage in conversation with fellow attendees. From the lively party to the captivating historical displays, this event promises to transport you to a bygone era. During the evening we will hear from Sanford Museum Curator Brigitte Stephenson about Sanford's historic past.
Period appropriate attire is recommended. There will be a costume contest at the end of the evening.
There are two ticket options:
-General Admission includes food and non-alcoholic drinks
-VIP includes a collector cup, plus 2 drink tickets
Don't miss out on this incredible chance to connect with the history and heritage of Sanford. Grab your friends, put on your best "flapper" outfit, and join us for an unforgettable fundraiser by the Sanford Historical Society, to benefit the Sanford Museum! Our goal is to raise $2000 for a new projector, screen and sound system for events.
**This event is outside! If it rains we will move the date to June 29th. There are no refunds.
We'd like to thank our sponsors and hosts - the Williams family, Loggerhead Distillery and Miller Construction, and our caterer Chef Michael.
